Let’s talk SoundSwitch — should you go for the Control One or just use an Interface Cable?

💡 The Difference:

• Control One: A dedicated hardware controller with built-in DMX output, giving you hands-on control of SoundSwitch. IMPORTANT: While it’s hardware, it’s not standalone — it still must be plugged into a computer. It’s essentially a custom MIDI controller.

• Interface Cable: A simple USB-to-DMX interface cable that connects from your laptop to your transmitter or directly to your fixtures.

Dave doesn’t own a Control One, but he still gets the most out of SoundSwitch by mapping key functions to his DJ controller. With the DDJ-1000, he mapped blackout and strobe to Deck 3. With all 8 pads free, he mapped Static Scenes, Strobe, Blackout, and other effects directly to the controller.
